It is best adapted in anaemic conditions where pallor of skin, mucous membranes and face alternates with flushes. Irritability of the mind with great sensitiveness to noise is the keynote for prescribing Ferrum metallicum. It is also given for any complaints arising after taking eggs.

In the cases of rheumatism of the shoulder, Ferrum met shall prove to be effective. The main site of action of Ferrum met is on circulator system, hence it is indicated in anaemic murmur as well. Apart from this, it is also useful in treating pulse abnormalities (when the character of pulse is full but soft and yielding, small and weak)
