In this regard, the conditions that can be considered are Brain fag, Burnout or a Nervous Breakdown.

• Brain Fag Syndrome (BFS): In the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, BFS is defined as a culture bound syndrome which is a tetrad of somatic complaints, cognitive impairments, sleep related complaints and other somatic impairments. Symptoms include difficulty in concentration, poor retention of studies, heat sensations and/or dim vision which occurs after a period of intense intellectual activity.
• Burnout: According to ICD 11, it is a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. It is characterized by 3 dimensions –
  1. Feeling of energy depletion or exhaustion
  2. Negativism or cynicism related to one’s job
  3. Reduction in professional efficacy
• Nervous breakdown: it is an attack of mental or emotional disorder especially when of sufficient severity to require hospitalization. Symptoms include anxiety or panic attacks, depression, sleeplessness, feeling physically ill, indolence, mood swings, difficult concentration, etc.

Action of Ingredients:

Calcarea phosphorica: Trembling or trembling hands with pain or other complaints. The mental state is one of weakness, inability for mental exertion. Hence it is appropriate in effects of mental strain, such as school headaches in children, weak-minded children. Involuntary sighing.

Ferrum phosphoricum: In the early stages of febrile conditions, it stands midway between asthenic activity of Acon and Bell. Prostration is marked. Great prostration, could hardly move about. Great physical and mental lassitude indisposed to physical exertion, nervousness, prostration, rheumatic paralysis.

Kali phosphoricum: The Kali-p patient is nervous, sensitive, weak and easily fagged, by slight causes like pain, worry, mental fatigue, etc. One of the greatest nerve remedies. Conditions arising from lack of nerve power, neuresthenia, mental and physical depression, are wonderfully improved by this remedy. Nervous prostration.

Magnesium phosphoricum: Schuessler’s remedy for cramps, convulsions, neuralgic pains and spasmodic effects, showing its influence on nerves and muscles.

Natrum muriaticum: Indicated for Great weakness and weariness. Weakness felt in the morning in bed. Easy exhaustion. Oversensitive to all sorts of influences. Arms and legs, but especially knees, feel weak. Numbness and tingling in fingers and lower limbs.
