It is indicated in clinical conditions like senile hypertrophy of the prostate, vascular deafness and pseudo- leukaemia. The most common symptoms of prostate hypertrophy like frequent micturition at night, feeling of fullness and pressure etc. are managed effectively with this preparation.

Acts best in dark-haired patients, plethoric, with sensitive livers. The symptom that specially calls for it is failure of the function of an organ under exertion; e g, the voice fails after public speaking.

Ear symptoms include tinnitus, humming and crackling sound. Chronic deafness and tinnitus due to gout are also present in the symptomology picture.
