Uranium nitricum is helpful in the management of glycosuria which is a chief complaint in Diabetes mellitus along with the other symptoms like polydipsia, polyuria and dry tongue. It is also known to act in the cases of nephritis, degeneration of the liver, high blood pressure and dropsy. With frequent tendencies to ascites and general dropsy, patients with great emaciation can be well treated with this drug. Other treatable urinary symptoms include diuresis, incontinence of urine, burning of urethra and enuresis. Other indications for its use are boring pain in pyloric region, gastric and duodenal ulcers and styes.
